Our packaging takes on a new form.
Skincare boxes returned to the boutique, torn paper, a material crafted by hand. With Bankal & Decker, Apoticari packaging has been transformed into papier-mâché steles. A look back in pictures at their creation.

Boxes returned to the boutique
In March 2026, we invited our customers to return their Apoticari boxes to our boutique in Le Puy-en-Velay. The collection, open until March 30, had a specific goal: to transform this packaging into an installation for the window display.
These cardboard boxes, originally designed to protect skincare products, became the raw material for a project led with Bankal & Decker.
02
From paper to material
At the studio, the boxes are torn into small pieces. The letters of Apoticari can still be recognised on the cardboard fragments. The photo report then follows the work of the paper pulp on a large sieve: the printed surfaces give way to a fibrous material, ready to be shaped.
Photographed by Élodie Daguin, these movements reveal the transition from packaging to sculpture.

Shaping the steles by hand
Bankal & Decker works on the volumes and refines the details by hand. Columns, curves, and hollows define different silhouettes, in light and terracotta tones.
The surface retains the grain of the papier-mâché and the irregularities of the handiwork. Up close, the fibres and textures still tell the story of the material the steles are made from.

A second life in the window
Once finished, the steles join the window display of our boutique in Le Puy-en-Velay. The packaging that once surrounded our products now makes up the decor that showcases them.
Thank you to everyone who entrusted us with their boxes. Your contributions allowed this collective creation to take shape.
